AGG Continues Growth in Atlanta and D.C. Offices With Addition of Four Attorneys in Key Practice Areas

Atlanta, May 1, 2023 – Arnall Golden Gregory (AGG) is pleased to announce continued growth in key practice areas.

In Atlanta, Wesley C. Turner joins as a partner in the firm’s Real Estate practice and a member of the Retail and Industrial & Warehouse industry teams. Allison S. Cook joins the Corporate & Finance practice as of counsel and a member of the Payment Systems industry team. Dorothea C. Hockel was added as a staff attorney in the Immigration & Global Mobility practice. James R. Wiseman joins the firm’s recently relocated and renovated office space in Washington, D.C., as an associate in the growing Healthcare Litigation practice, which added four attorneys in 2022.

Wes works side by side with commercial real estate owners/operators and developers from start to finish to complete their projects. He is adept at handling real estate acquisitions, divestitures, leases, 1031 exchanges and structuring, financing, and refinancing of existing debt. He also drafts and negotiates operating agreements for joint venture projects and provides operations advice for stabilized assets. Wes is active in the American Bar Association’s Real Estate Section and the Urban Land Institute. He earned his law degree from Mercer University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia.

Ali negotiates complex fintech transactions for her clients in the areas of technology licensing, SaaS, strategic transactions, commercial contract negotiation, corporate governance, and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to joining AGG, Ali served as chief counsel for a global financial technology company, where she advised the payment processing business through all aspects of its legal needs. She is a U.S. Certified Information Privacy Professional. Ali earned her law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University.

Dorothea, fluent in German and Romanian, is experienced in advising foreign-owned business entities and individuals investing in the U.S., establishing their U.S. entities, and counseling clients on immigration and non-immigration visa issues. She completed her German law studies at the University of Regensburg School of Law and received her Master of Law degree from Emory University School of Law. Dorothea is admitted to practice in both Georgia and Germany.

James, a healthcare litigator, protects healthcare providers and policyholders who have been denied payment for services. He is experienced litigating cases brought under the False Claims Act, and has pursued whistleblower claims involving the SEC, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and the IRS in matters related to government contracts, anti-money laundering, sanctions, information technology, tax, and healthcare. He earned his law degree from Columbia Law School and his undergraduate degree from Columbia University.
