Biography

Kevin is an associate in the Intellectual Property and Litigation & Dispute Resolution practices, where he focuses on intellectual property litigation, as well as patent prosecution and counseling. With a background in electrical engineering and hands-on experience in technology development, Kevin brings a technical perspective to patent matters involving complex technologies. He works with clients across a range of industries, including computer technology and software, electronics, artificial intelligence, medical devices, consumer products, and mechanical and industrial systems.

Kevin represents clients in patent, trademark, and trade secret disputes in federal courts, as well as post-grant review proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His litigation background encompasses discovery, motion practice, administrative proceedings, and preparation for hearings and trial, providing insight into how intellectual property rights may be challenged and enforced.

Kevin’s technical background distinguishes his approach to intellectual property matters. Before entering legal practice, he worked on a research project funded by MITRE involving the development of ultra-lightweight systems for small helium blimps. His work included developing an automated buoyancy system incorporating sensors and ballast components. This firsthand experience with engineering and technology development gives Kevin an understanding of the technical considerations underlying clients’ inventions and the process of bringing those innovations to life.
