Biography
Sarah is a partner in the Real Estate practice, where she advises developers, institutional investors, owners, borrowers, and lenders on commercial real estate transactions across the country. She focuses her practice on real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing, with particular experience representing clients in industrial, multifamily, mixed-use, and build-to-rent projects.
With more than two decades of experience in the real estate industry, Sarah provides practical, business-oriented counsel through every stage of a transaction. Clients rely on her to structure and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, development and management agreements, financing documents, and other transaction-related agreements, while also guiding due diligence, title, survey, and zoning matters. She works closely with clients from site acquisition and assemblage through development, financing, and disposition.
Sarah has extensive experience advising on industrial park developments, multifamily communities, and large-scale mixed-use projects throughout the Southeast and beyond. She also advises clients on build-to-rent developments, an evolving sector that continues to attract significant institutional investment. Her practice includes matters involving retail, office, self-storage, and medical office assets, as well as projects requiring coordination with governmental authorities, development agencies, and multiple transaction stakeholders.
Outside of her legal practice, Sarah is active in the broader real estate community through organizations including the Urban Land Institute (“ULI”), International Council of Shopping Centers (“ICSC”), and National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (“NAIOP”) Atlanta. She also serves on the board of 3Keys, an Atlanta-based nonprofit founded by local community members with support from former First Lady Rosalynn Carter that provides permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and mental illness.
