AGG Strengthens Healthcare Real Estate Practice with Esteemed Attorney Eric Bonsall

ATLANTA, September 22, 2025 – Arnall Golden Gregory LLP (AGG) welcomes Eric J. Bonsall as a partner in the firm’s Real Estate practice and a member of the Healthcare Real Estate industry team. Eric has closed hundreds of transactions over his career, including those valued at more than one billion dollars. Prior to joining AGG, Eric practiced at an AmLaw 100 law firm and a boutique healthcare law firm, where he advised clients on acquisitions, divestitures, financings, corporate matters, and regulatory compliance across the healthcare industry, with a focus on long-term care and senior housing.

“Eric is a very accomplished attorney in the healthcare real estate field, and our clients will benefit immensely from his stand-out service, vast experience, and industry knowledge,” said Steven A. Kaye, co-chair of AGG’s Healthcare Real Estate industry team. “His capabilities and practical approach to transactions are a tremendous asset to the firm and our clients.”

With more than two decades of industry-specific experience, Eric is nationally recognized as a leader in long-term care and senior housing transactions. Uniquely combining corporate, healthcare regulatory, and real estate experience, he has structured and closed complex healthcare real estate deals and counseled borrowers and lenders in HUD-insured financing transactions across the country. Eric’s transactional experience spans for-profit and nonprofit multi-state portfolios, as well as single-site operations, giving him a comprehensive perspective across the healthcare real estate landscape. Recognized for his meticulous attention to detail, Eric’s significant experience in commercial contracting and highly technical drafting abilities make him a trusted and valued resource for both clients and colleagues.

“AGG is among a select group of firms nationally recognized in the healthcare real estate industry,” Eric said. “Its distinguished reputation in long-term care and senior housing, combined with my experience collaborating with AGG attorneys over the years, made AGG the clear choice for growing my practice. AGG’s platform further enhances the level of service I can provide. It positions me to deliver even greater value to clients.”

At AGG, Eric represents owners, operators, managers, investors, and lenders in the purchase, sale, lease, and financing of nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, hospitals, home health and hospice agencies, and multifamily properties. He guides clients through all phases of a transaction — from the negotiation of letters of intent and drafting definitive agreements to addressing regulatory compliance, licensure, Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment, HUD loan documents, and post-closing transition issues.

Eric earned his J.D., cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his B.S. from Binghamton University, State University of New York.
