Hanish S. Patel

Hanish is of counsel in the Corporate & Finance and Tax practices and a member of the Economic Development & Public Finance industry team.

He focuses his practice on economic development and state and local taxation, with significant experience in assisting companies in negotiating and securing incentives from state and local agencies. He also counsels and advises on state and local tax issues, including sales and use, income, property, gross receipts, and other state and local taxes. Hanish regularly assists clients with state and local tax compliance, planning, litigation, controversy and audit defense matters, and policy.

Hanish has worked on numerous projects across the United States, involving a wide range of industries such as manufacturing, distribution, data centers, film and entertainment, hospitality, financial institutions, and research and development.

Prior to joining AGG, Hanish was a tax associate at an international law firm. He also worked as a senior associate in the state and local tax group at a Big Four accounting firm in Atlanta.
