Peter Strand to Speak on Trademarks for Performing and Recording Artists at Folk Alliance International Legal Summit

On January 23, 2026, AGG Entertainment & Sports senior counsel Peter Strand will speak at the Folk Alliance International 2026 Legal Summit during the session, “Branding the Band: Trademarks for Performing and Recording Artists,” in New Orleans, Louisiana.

During the panel, Peter will share how trademarks function as critical business assets for musicians and bands. The discussion will define what qualifies as a trademark; why artist names, band names, and logos carry long-term value; and how to protect trademarks, as well as avoid disputes when the trademark is used by an ensemble of two or more musicians.
