Orlando Cabrera to Speak on “Washington Report” Panel at Novogradac 2025 Housing Tax Credit and Bonds Conference

AGG Affordable Housing co-chair Orlando J. Cabrera will participate in a panel discussion at the Novogradac Housing Tax Credit and Bonds Conference on September 25, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Orlando’s session, “Washington Report,” will explore the impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which included provisions to expand the low-income housing tax credit. Panelists will discuss how the lowering of the 50% financed-by test could affect affordable housing in Hawai’i and whether state leaders will increase focus on acquisition-rehabilitation properties. The conversation will also examine how rising construction costs are affecting Hawai’i housing, LIHTC equity pricing, and strategies to boost demand for state-level LIHTCs.
