Biography

Jackie is a partner and co-chair of the Privacy & Cybersecurity practice with 30 years of experience handling privacy, governance, risk, compliance, and public policy matters. She serves as co-chair of the Emerging Technologies industry team and AGG’s Women in Tech Law initiative. She is also a member of the Life Sciences industry team.

Jackie has deep experience in U.S. and EU privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations. She provides clients with practical, operational, and business-focused guidance related to complex issues such as compliance with regulations, cross-border data transfers, data protection contracts, and development of compliant privacy and cybersecurity policies and documentation. She has worked with dozens of clients across all industry sectors, including financial services, fintech, e-commerce, retail, entertainment, and private equity, to develop, enhance, and maintain comprehensive, sustainable data protection programs.

Additionally, Jackie provides breach response support, including during the first hours of a breach all the way through forensic and government investigations and notifications to individuals and government agencies. She also has experience working with U.S. and international regulators.

Jackie helps clients focus on identifying and mitigating risks arising out of the complex and ever-changing privacy and cybersecurity regulatory environment so they can focus on maintaining and growing their businesses.

Previously, Jackie was the lead director of the data privacy and cybersecurity solutions team at an international law firm, where she led a group of attorneys and consultants that supported clients in navigating complex, global privacy, and cybersecurity laws and implementing complex regulatory and industry requirements. She was also the lead associate at a major U.S. firm, where she managed the commercial privacy team.

Jackie is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (“CIPP-US”). She has also served as an adjunct legal professor at Marymount University and was a legislative assistant on Capitol Hill for eight years.
