Biography
Greg is an associate in the Healthcare practice.
Greg focuses his practice on healthcare transactions and regulatory matters. He counsels clients on business transactional matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, professional services arrangements, corporate governance, leases, and general contracting. His experience in healthcare regulatory and compliance issues includes the Stark Law, the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse, antirust, and health information privacy. He also assists clients in government investigations and administrative proceedings.
Greg is also a member of the firm’s Change of Ownership (CHOW) team that leads all regulatory aspects of healthcare transactions for investors, operators, managers, capital partners, and developers of all sizes and in all 50 states. The team streamlines the regulatory process so that clients close their transactions on or ahead of schedule. Whether obtaining licensure and Medicare/Medicaid approvals, structuring transactions to expedite closing, anticipating issues to minimize cash flow disruption, creatively resolving diligence issues, or advising on CHOW guidelines and compliance, the team provides extensive experience and practical solutions. To date, the CHOW team has served as primary regulatory counsel in transactions valued at more than $35 billion.
Prior to joining AGG, Greg was a healthcare associate at both a global and a regional law firm where he represented public and private health systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician groups, hospices, home health agencies, life sciences organizations, and other healthcare providers in the areas of business transactions and regulatory compliance.
