Biography
Greg is a partner in the Healthcare practice and a member of the Hospitals & Health Systems, Post-Acute & Long-Term Care, and Healthcare Private Equity industry teams. Healthcare providers seek Greg’s practical centric approach to handling complex business transactions and regulatory compliance matters.
Greg counsels healthcare providers and financial institutional clients (particularly private equity and REITS) on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, professional practice management models, corporate governance, and general contracting. His practice also focuses on healthcare regulatory and compliance matters including the corporate practice of medicine, the Stark Law, the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare and Medicaid conditions of participation and reimbursement, antitrust, and health information privacy.
Greg is also a member of the firm’s Change of Ownership (“CHOW”) team that leads all regulatory aspects of healthcare transactions for investors, operators, managers, capital partners, and developers of all sizes and in all 50 states. The team streamlines the regulatory process so that clients close their transactions on or ahead of schedule. Whether obtaining licensure and Medicare/Medicaid approvals, structuring transactions to expedite closing, anticipating issues to minimize cash flow disruption, creatively resolving diligence issues, or advising on CHOW guidelines and compliance, the team provides extensive experience and practical solutions. To date, the CHOW team has served as primary regulatory counsel in transactions valued at more than $35 billion.
Greg is active in his community and participates in various local organizations, including serving on the Executive Committee and board of the Jewish Educational Loan Fund, as co-treasurer at Congregation Beth Tefillah, and as co-chair of the ALEF Fund Committee at The Epstein School.
