Streamlining NEPA for Rural Housing

AGG Environmental practice co-chair Rebecca Davis authored an article for the August 2025 Council for Affordable and Rural Housing (“CARH”) Newsletter outlining recommendations to the United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) for improving National Environmental Policy Act (“NEPA”) reviews in rural housing development.

Rebecca discusses how outdated review timelines and duplicative processes have delayed project approvals and increased costs. She highlights CARH’s policy recommendations to streamline environmental assessments, encourage interagency coordination, and prioritize rural development projects.
