New AGG Partner Rebecca Davis Featured in Daily Report and Law360

Rebecca Davis, a new partner in AGG’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Environmental practices and Economic Development & Public Finance industry team, was featured in Law360 on July 7 and in the Daily Report on July 11 discussing her move to the firm and plans going forward.

“There was a strong draw to the people at AGG,” Rebecca told Law360. “I was familiar with the practice areas I’m joining, had great respect for the attorneys and the way they serve clients, and felt my skillset will complement theirs. It’s also a great platform of success in environmental and economic development to build upon, and there’s a great opportunity to leverage the firm’s great litigation experience in these areas.”

Speaking with the Daily Report, Rebecca said, “With [AGG] it was an opportunity to join a strong environmental practice and the economic development team and also help further development of a construction practice and other areas of litigation. It gives a stronger platform for those particular areas to grow, especially in the environmental area given the breadth and the strength of the existing practice group here.”

She added that the move to AGG is an opportunity to grow her practice and offer her clients a stronger platform for environmental law.

Rebecca also spoke to the updates she is seeing for her clients, such as a potential uptick in construction-related litigation as the volume of development in Atlanta and economic uncertainties could lead to disputes. On the environmental front, she said she has seen increased interest in environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) work, and she has counseled clients on strategic planning for ESG-related work, including the reduction of carbon emissions.
