Ed Cadagin Discusses Telework and Disability Accommodations on ELA’s Employment Matters Podcast

AGG Employment partner Ed Cadagin recently appeared on the Employment Law Alliance’s (“ELA”) Employment Matters podcast to discuss federal telework guidance issued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) and the Office of Personnel Management (“OPM”).

The guidance, while directed at federal agencies, offers insight into how telework may be evaluated as a reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”). As remote work continues to be a key workplace issue, employers must carefully assess accommodation requests and documentation requirements.

Ed joined host Tara Stingley, chair of Cline Williams’ Labor and Employment Law section, to examine how the EEOC may approach telework requests in the private sector, including factors that influence whether remote work is considered reasonable under the law.
