Dave Ault Speaks With Law360 About Joining AGG’s Healthcare Practice

Dave Ault, a partner in AGG’s Healthcare practice, was featured in a Law360 article discussing his move to the firm, as well as the current landscape of federal healthcare agencies.

Both the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (“CMS”) and the Department of Health & Human Services (“HHS”) are in a period of significant transition, Dave explained.

“The agency is rolling out new and increasingly complex reimbursement models while also making major efforts to address fraud and improper payments through AI and audits,” he said. “That puts organizations that receive Medicare reimbursement . . . in a regulatory environment that crosses payors and disciplines. These clients need counsel who can see the whole picture.”

Dave reunites with former HHS Office of the General Counsel colleague Andrew Tsui, who joined AGG in February 2025. Dave said Andrew, along with former federal attorneys David Blank and Brian Stimson, was a big part of his decision to join the firm.

“The firm has deliberately put together a team of former federal healthcare attorneys with experience across [the Department of Justice], HHS, the Office of Inspector General and CMS,” Dave said. “Behind that team is a full-service firm with transactional, litigation and regulatory capabilities.”
