When Arnall Golden Gregory opened its Washington, D.C. office in January 2011, the original group consisted of four high-profile privacy, consumer regulatory and government relations attorneys.
Now entering its sixth year, the D.C. office has grown to 17 attorneys whose expertise encompasses a broad range of areas that are critical to businesses, including consumer regulatory, privacy, healthcare, food and drug, litigation, international business, logistics and transportation, government investigations and white collar defense, government contracts, employment, immigration, background screening, antitrust, social media, and technology.
The office’s immediate success and continued growth affirms AGG’s belief that having a presence in the nation’s capital gives AGG’s clients a distinct advantage when addressing government and regulatory challenges.
“The success of the D.C. office springs from AGG’s culture – know your client, know your client’s industry, know the laws that regulate your client, and do whatever can be done appropriately to help your client achieve its goals,” said Robert R. Belair, managing partner of the D.C. office.
Jonathan E. Eady, Arnall Golden Gregory’s managing partner, said, “Our Washington office will continue to grow as the relationship between business and government grows in complexity. We have a reputation for the highest quality service that attracts not only clients but talent.”
On behalf of clients, the D.C. attorneys regularly interact with numerous government agencies, including the White House, the Department of Justice, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and other financial regulatory agencies, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Trade Commission.
The attorneys in Washington are particularly adept at what they do because they have an insider’s knowledge of how government operates.
