On May 7, 2026, AGG International partner Tycho Stahl will speak at RSM Ebner Stolz’s “When Tariffs Become a Management Task — Executive Update on U.S. Business,” in Hamburg, Germany, an event focused on the impact of U.S. tariffs and trade measures on German companies entering or expanding in the U.S. market.

As U.S. business opportunities continue to attract foreign investment from Germany, companies must account for tariff exposure, customs compliance obligations, and related tax and legal considerations that can directly affect profitability and market entry decisions. The program will provide an overview of the current customs legal framework in the U.S. and show how modern technological solutions can simplify customs declarations and support customs refund procedures.

Tycho will join Christopher Knipp, RSM partner and head of the Germany practice, and Jodi Ader, RSM International Tax senior manager, to discuss:

  • Best practices for dealing with U.S. tariffs and trade measures
  • How technology supports the monitoring, control, and optimization of customs processes
  • Drafting contracts in a transatlantic context to hedge customs and trade risks
  • Relevant tax and legal innovations
  • Classification of current investment and location considerations in the U.S. market
