Biography

Tanner is a partner in the Corporate & Finance practice and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Corporate Finance & Securities Offerings, Corporate Governance, and Strategic Alliances & Joint Ventures practices.

Tanner focuses his practice on the representation of private and public companies in various transactional and securities matters, including private offerings and syndications for corporate and real estate funds, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, SEC compliance issues, and corporate governance and operational matters.

Tanner graduated with honors from both Furman University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science, and the University of Georgia’s School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable B. Avant Edenfield of the Southern District of Georgia in Savannah.

Experience

  • Assisted in the drafting of the private offering memorandum for a $10,000,000 offering.

  • Assisted in the drafting of the private offering memorandums, operating agreements, and subscription agreements in conjunction with two related private offerings and in addition, prepared the requisite securities filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and respective state securities offices.
