Biography
Maggie is an associate in the Healthcare practice.
Maggie advises hospitals, physician groups, and other healthcare providers on a broad range of regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters. With a background as a registered nurse, she brings a real-world perspective to guiding clients through healthcare regulations and operational challenges.
Maggie counsels healthcare organizations on compliance with state and federal laws, including privacy, fraud, waste, and abuse regulations, as well as state licensure, certification, and change of ownership requirements. She also assists clients in matters involving Georgia’s Certificate of Need program. Her practice combines a deep understanding of both the clinical and regulatory environments to help clients achieve their business and patient care goals efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws.
Maggie earned her J.D. with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as the web editor for the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology and as special projects coordinator for the Cancer Clinic on the Pro Bono Board. While in law school, she also conducted civil jury research with a trial consulting firm.
Prior to attending law school, Maggie worked as a registered nurse in both adult emergency and trauma departments, including at Memorial Health and Emory St. Joseph’s, as well as the pediatric intensive care unit at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
