Biography

Charlie is an associate in the Real Estate practice group, where she supports clients on a range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, and other real estate transactions.

Prior to joining AGG, Charlie served as an associate attorney with the City of Atlanta Law Department, where she advised the Department of City Planning on a broad range of legal matters. She also supported the city’s real estate transactions, overseeing the review of utility easements for the Department of Watershed Management. This experience provides Charlie with firsthand insight land use considerations and the legal challenges that can affect real estate development. She brings this perspective to her work at the firm, helping the team identify regulatory considerations and navigate issues that arise throughout the real estate transaction and development process.

While earning her dual J.D. and Master of City of Regional Planning, Charlie gained experience across government and private-sector settings. She served as an extern for the Federal Highway Administration, a law clerk with the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (“ACCG”), and an intern at a boutique land use law firm. She also participated in Georgia State University’s Urban Fellows program and Environmental Law Society. Additionally, she was selected as an Urban Land Institute Etkin Scholar and for CREW’s UCREW program.

A Georgia native, Charlie earned her B.B.A. from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, testing new recipes, and attending art events in the Atlanta area.
