Andrew Smith

Andrew is an associate in the Corporate & Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions practices, where he represents public and private companies, investors, and business owners in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, strategic business transactions, and general corporate counseling.

Andrew advises buyers and sellers in successful acquisitions and exits across a range of commercial industries, including manufacturing, federal contracting, professional services, construction, industrial and consumer products, technology, food services and agriculture, and healthcare.

Prior to his legal career, Andrew worked at an investment consulting firm, where he advised institutional and private clients. Andrew’s background gives him a deeper understanding of the commercial considerations that drive business decisions and allows him to approach legal issues with a practical, value-focused perspective.

Andrew earned his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, where he served as a Student Writing Editor for the Law Review and received six CALI Awards recognizing excellence in legal scholarship. He received his B.B.A. in finance from Southern Methodist University.
