Heightened Regulatory Oversight in Hospice, Home Health: Navigating the Evolving Landscape

Jason Bring, AGG Post-Acute & Long-Term Care co-chair, recently authored an article for McKnight’s Home Care discussing the complications caused by legal oversight by hospice and home health companies, listing strategies for providers to effectively mitigate risk.

“In recent years, federal oversight of hospice and home health providers has intensified as spending in these sectors increases,” Jason stated.

Recognizing this challenge, he provided an outline of best strategies for providers to reduce the possibility of legal risk and maintain regulatory compliance, including audit preparedness, robust documentation, staff education, and the employment of a designated compliance officer.
