Sean Fogarty Discusses AGG’s Keys to Talent Retention in Daily Report Article
AGG managing partner Sean Fogarty was featured in a Daily Report article discussing the keys to the firm’s track record for retaining high-performing talent, including listening, asking questions, and making sure leadership is doing everything it can to accommodate attorney needs.
With lawyer turnover, especially in Atlanta, continuing to be a challenge for many firms, Sean explained that the only way to understand an individual attorney’s needs is by asking questions and determining the right support structure.
“And if you’re doing that, you are going to be able to . . . create opportunities that are necessary to keep those people both personally and professionally happy,” he said.
Sean also shared that AGG’s compensation system, which is entirely merit-based, incentivizes people who are “willing to bet on themselves.”
“We’ve always just tried to focus on our people,” Sean said, “and if we do that, we think we will end up with the right results, and we’re going to be retaining folks who have options.”
