Law360 Highlights Bill Dombi’s Arrival to AGG

Bill Dombi’s addition as senior counsel in AGG’s Healthcare practice in Washington, D.C. was featured in a Law360 article published on February 6, 2025.

The former head of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (“NAHC”), Bill will continue working on the litigation and policy matters related to the issues he’s worked on for decades.

“I have litigated probably as many cases against the Medicare programs as probably any other attorney in the country,” Bill told Law360. “And I’ve taken cases all the way through circuit court and up to the [U.S.] Supreme Court and the like, which was unusual at a trade association.”

Bill was named the head of NAHC in 2017 and served in that role through 2024. Throughout his tenure at NAHC, he represented home healthcare providers in a number of high-profile challenges to Medicare. He explained that his passion for advocacy in the area started in law school at the University of Connecticut.

“That passion grew as I met more and more people, and it grew even further when I had a father, a mother, a mother-in-law, a son, a sister, et cetera, all receiving care in the home,” Bill said.

“There were barriers to underutilization, there was a prejudice even in the healthcare community toward care in institutional settings, but there were barriers in the law that had to be addressed,” he continued. “And as the access to care grew, so did the barriers and difficulties.”
