AGG Recruits Two Healthcare Litigation Partners to Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. September 19, 2022 – Arnall Golden Gregory (AGG) is pleased to announce the arrival of two seasoned healthcare litigation partners to the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Richard “Rich” T. Collins and Damon D. Eisenbrey join from a litigation firm in California and add to AGG’s growing Healthcare Litigation practice, which added partner and litigator Matt M. Lavin last year.

“Rich and Damon build upon the client-first philosophy we bring as fierce and respected advocates to our provider-side reimbursement practice,” said Matt. “Their legal acumen and tireless efforts to secure favorable results in high-stakes disputes make them a perfect match for our practice and firm.”

Rich has more than 25 years of experience representing clients in healthcare litigation and has recovered millions of dollars for his clients across the country. He defends healthcare providers to assert wrongful denial of payments for services, as well as policyholders denied medically necessary treatment. He represents providers and other professionals in insurance recovery, business litigation, and administrative and regulatory matters. Rich is recognized by Best Lawyers in America® and is named as a “Lawyer of the Year” for Insurance Law in 2023. Rich earned his law degree from Whittier Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Davis.

“Damon and I actively work to ensure patients receive access to affordable, equitable, and accessible healthcare,” Rich said. “We are excited to join Matt and the nationally respected team of attorneys at AGG.”

Damon has more than 21 years of experience handling complex litigation matters. He represents patients and healthcare providers against insurance companies on plan coverage, benefits, and reimbursement-related matters, including state and federal class and consolidated mass actions. With his experience and commitment to enforcing laws related to coverage for medical and behavioral health treatments, Damon counsels healthcare providers and organizations on operational, transactional, compliance, licensing, audit, investigation, and regulatory matters. He earned his law degree from Loyola Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.

“Rich and I are thrilled to join this team of like-minded, client focused attorneys as we move our practice and join the Washington, D.C. community,” Damon said. “We look forward to supporting our clients with the high-caliber team and resources available at AGG.”
