Two AGG Partners Speaking at PBSA 2022 Mid-Year Legislative and Regulatory Conference

AGG Background Screening partners Kevin Coy and Megan Mitchell are speaking at the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) 2022 Mid-Year Legislative and Regulatory Conference.

On April 11 from 3-3:50 p.m., Kevin will present “The FIPPs: Not a Rock Group But the Basis of Most Privacy Legislation,” which will provide an introduction to the Fair Information Protection Principles (FIPPs) and help attendees understand most of the world’s privacy regulations. FIPPS are underlying principles of data protection for most worldwide privacy laws and regulations. They are found in the U.S. FCRA, the EU’s GDPR, Canada’s PIPEDA, and even the new China PIPL.

On April 12 from 11-11:50 a.m., Megan will present “Matching Mania: Best Practices for Providing Maximum Possible Accuracy to Reduce False Positives.” As obtaining judicial people data is not as simple as it once used to be due to ever-changing regulation policies, inconsistent, complex data sets, and the pressure to meet the consumer reporting agencies’ accuracy obligations under the FCRA, this session will focus on what is happening at the federal and state level to help consumer reporting agencies navigate identifiers, matching procedures, and accuracy.
