AGG Healthcare attorneys Bill Dombi, Jason Bring, and Alex Foster will present a webinar exploring Medicare’s “36-Month Rule,” which restricts certain changes in majority ownership within 36 months of initial Medicare enrollment or a previous majority ownership change.

While the rule creates a landmine of legal risk, business objectives with regard to ownership changes are often achievable with careful planning and analysis along with consideration of the useful exceptions within the rule. This session is designed to help home health and hospice businesses of all sizes understand the rule and avoid the dire consequences of running afoul of it.

Attendees will learn:

  • The history and purpose of the rule
  • Types of ownership changes captured by the rule and the ramifications of non-compliance
  • Strategies to structure a home health or hospice business to ensure compliance

There will be an opportunity for Q&A at the end of this webinar.

Credits: 1 hour of CLE credit has been approved by the State Bar of Georgia.
