Henry Chalmers and Kevin Coy to Speak at PBSA 2023 Annual Conference

Henry Chalmers, AGG Background Screening co-chair, and Kevin Coy, AGG Data Privacy co-chair and Background Screening team member, will speak at the Professional Background Screening Association (“PBSA”) 2023 Annual Conference in Grapevine, Texas.

On September 11, 2023, Kevin will serve on the panel, “Three Amigos of Data Privacy: A Global Q&A Session.” This session will address audience questions on international background screening as it relates to compliance, such as international privacy laws (such as GDPR), international data transfer, and international permissible purposes.

On September 12, 2023, Henry will present, “Don’t Litigation, Arbitrate!” He will explore the benefits and drawbacks of arbitration for screeners, vendors, employers, landlords, and service providers. He will also provide tips on how to draft an arbitration provision to best meet your business goals and avoid the pitfalls of litigation.

Kevin will also present, “Will the Third Time Be the Charm? The EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.” This session will examine the requirements of the new Data Privacy Framework and discuss potential risks and benefits for screeners and other organizations considering participation in the new program.

The full conference will be held from September 10-12, 2023, at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center.
