Clinton Yu to Present Korea Society Webinar on Overlapping Tariff, Export Control, and Sanctions Risks for Korean Companies
Event Details
AGG International Trade co-chair Clinton Yu will participate in a webinar hosted by The Korea Society, The Association of American State Offices in Korea, and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency titled, “The New U.S.-Korea Trade Risk Landscape: Recent Trends in Tariffs, Export Controls and Sanctions for Korean Companies,” on October 26, 2026.
Tariffs, export controls, and sanctions can create overlapping regulatory challenges for Korean companies operating across U.S.-Asia supply chains, particularly those with China-linked manufacturing and sourcing operations. A single business decision involving sourcing, manufacturing, or payments may trigger compliance obligations under multiple regulatory frameworks.
Clinton and fellow panelists will examine how these trade restrictions interact and the potential consequences for Korean businesses. Through practical business scenarios, the discussion will address how companies can identify compounding risks, assess regulatory exposure, and strengthen compliance strategies to avoid costly operational disruptions.
