Arnall Golden Gregory LLP (“AGG”) values your privacy and provides this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to help you understand our privacy practices.
This Policy describes the practices of AGG with regard to the personal information we collect both online and offline, except as otherwise described in this Policy. This Policy does not apply to AGG’s processing of personal information about members of our workforce.
Individuals located in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom are invited to review our GDPR/UK GDPR Notice of Personal Data Processing Practices for information about how we process personal data subject to the European Union General Data Protection Regulation and the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation.
Information Collection
(a) Information You Provide to Us
AGG collects the personal information individuals choose to provide to us in connection with legal representation, when registering for webinars and other events, using our website, and through interactions with our attorneys and staff. For example, you may submit an inquiry to us, sign-up for legal updates, register for webinars or events, or apply for a position with us. In doing so, you may submit personal information such as your name, email address, employer, and job title. If you would prefer that AGG not collect, store, or use your personal information according to the terms of this Policy, please do not submit any personal information to us. Examples of the types of personal information that individuals may voluntarily provide include:
- Identifiers, such as your name, telephone number(s), fax number(s), email address(es), postal address(es), social media identifiers, unique personal identifiers such as state bar number or HR Certification Institute (HRCI) number, and social security numbers or other government identification numbers.
- Demographic Information, such as information about your age, race, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, or veteran’s status, which may be collected from job applicants, or, in the case of age and gender, which may also be collected from other individuals or inferred about website visitors by our analytics providers.
- Professional and Educational Information, such as information about schools you attended, your employment history, your current employer, your job title, language skills, professional memberships, and certifications.
- Geolocation Information, such as your address, country, region, or city, if you submit it when signing up, or which can be inferred about website visitors by our analytics providers based on information such as IP address, such as city, region or country.
- Health Information, such as accessibility requirements and dietary restrictions.
- User Content, such as comments or other material you post on our social media pages, during webinars or other firm events.
- Preferences, such as the selection of our publications you wish to receive, or live or recorded webinars which you select to attend or view.
- Payment Information, such as payment card information provided to pay for services.
- Any other information you choose to provide to us. For example, if you apply for a job we may collect your resume, cover letter, writing sample, and any other information you may provide.
(b) Information We Generate or Collect by Automated Means
AGG may collect:
- Commercial information, such as records pertaining to the services you (or your organization) obtain from us and our interactions with you.
- Geolocation information, such as the general location or region where your computer or other device is accessing the internet.
- Website and electronic communication information, such as information about your browser, or device, or IP address information (which is considered personal information in some jurisdictions). We also may collect information about your interactions with us, such as the pages of our website you visited, the types of content you interact with, the frequency and duration of your activities on our website and other digital communications.
- Audio and Visual Information, such as your voice and likeness captured in photos, audio, or video recordings if you attend or speak at our live or virtual events, visit our offices, or leave us voicemail messages.
- Inferences drawn from other personal information we collect about you, such as your preferences or areas of interest. We may also use a tool that draws conclusions about your employer or professional affiliations based on your IP address.
(c) Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We utilize “cookies,” web beacons, and other similar technologies on our website. We may use first and/or third party “browser” or “HTTP” cookies, which are unique text files that may be used for data analytics, and enable our website to tailor information for the visitor. We may use browser cookies for purposes such as to personalize the user’s experience on our site, to remember a user when the user registers for services, for fraud prevention, or to track visits to our website. We also may use “web beacons” (also referred to as pixel tags or clear gifs) or similar technologies to collect information such as how long a visitor remains on a particular page. We also may include these technologies in emails to understand whether these messages have been opened and other ways in which you have interacted with the message. We may use third party service providers to assist us in analyzing this data including, for example, Google Analytics. You can opt-out of Google Analytics by downloading Google’s Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
Some Internet browsers offer “Do Not Track” or “DNT” features which, when turned on, send a signal to the website that the individual visiting the website does not wish to be tracked. Our website does not currently respond to do-not-track-signals, but you can change your browser settings to reject or remove all cookies that are not strictly necessary for the website to function. You can also manage your cookie preferences by navigating to the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of the AGG website and adjusting your cookie preferences using our cookie preference tool.
(d) Information Collected From Other Sources
AGG may obtain personal information from other sources, such as our clients, employees, business partners, other contacts, referral partners, or business contact databases and enrichment services. AGG may also receive information about you from social media platforms, such as when you interact with us on those platforms or access our social media content. We may collect information about you from publicly available sources, such as public social media profiles, publications, and other websites or materials available through search engines. If you apply for a job with AGG we may collect additional information, such as information provided by references, employment history, professional qualifications, and background check information.
We may collect the following categories of information from these other sources:
- Identifiers, such as name, telephone number, postal or email address, social media identifiers, and device and mobile advertising identifiers.
- Professional and Educational Information, such as professional licenses held, employers, business contact information, degrees, fields of study, institutions attended, languages, professional memberships, qualifications, and certifications.
- User Content you post or make available online, such as your social media posts or publications.
Use of Personal Information
AGG may use your personal information for purposes including:
- To respond to your inquiries and fulfill your requests.
- To provide our services and respond to requests for services.
- To manage our business relationships, including billing, accounting, collection, and support services.
- To operate, maintain and improve our website and other digital offerings.
- To send you newsletters, invitations, marketing and other content that AGG believes may be of interest to you and assess the success of our marketing events, content promotion and other outreach efforts.
- To personalize your experience with us, such as remembering your interests and preferences.
- To maintain the security and integrity of our website.
- To maintain and expand our list of professional contacts.
- To evaluate job candidates and business partners.
- To conduct market research.
- To detect, prevent and respond to fraud, illegal activities, and intellectual property infringement.
- To improve our website and services.
- To comply with our legal obligations, respond to legal processes, or requests for information from law enforcement and other government agencies, or to protect our rights or the rights of others.
- For other purposes with your consent, including at the time your personal information is collected.
- To create deidentified or aggregate information, which we may use or disclose for any purpose permitted by applicable law.
Disclosures and Other Information Sharing
AGG may disclose information about you to third parties acting as AGG’s service providers. For example, if AGG outsources the operation of certain website or other information technology functions, AGG may provide those service providers with access to your personal information. AGG, however, will require that any of AGG’s service providers institute safeguards to protect the confidentiality of your personal information. We may also disclose personal information to third party business partners with whom we collaborate but who do not act on our behalf, such as event partners, sponsors, and state bar offices. We may also disclose personal information to other third parties with your consent. Also, note that any personal information that you post to a comment section, to our social media pages or similar online forums may be available to other users of those forums or publicly available.
AGG may disclose personal information with potential transaction partners or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a transaction in which AGG is acquired by or merged with another company or the sale, liquidation, or transfer of all or a portion of AGG’s assets, as well as any bankruptcy or corporate reorganization.
AGG may also disclose your personal information as required by law or legal process or as AGG deems reasonably necessary to provide legal services. This may include disclosure of personal information in the course of making court, regulatory or other filings and submissions involving or on behalf of our clients. For example, we may assist clients with the filing of visa applications and other immigration filings or assist clients filing information regarding beneficial ownership required by the U.S. Corporate Transparency Act.
AGG does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-contextual behavioral advertising purposes.
AGG may share anonymous, deidentified or aggregate information that cannot reasonably identify you with others for any purpose to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Information Security
AGG understands that the security of your personal information is important. AGG has implemented reasonable and appropriate security measures designed to protect your personal information, including physical, technical, and procedural safeguards. While AGG strives to protect your personal information, we cannot eliminate every possible risk. The Internet is not 100% secure and even the strongest security measures cannot be guaranteed to prevent the unauthorized acts of third parties.
Retention of Personal Information
AGG may retain personal information we collect for the time period required to fulfill the legitimate business purposes for which it was collected and to engage in the disclosure practices outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a different retention period is required by applicable law, or to otherwise fulfill a legal obligation or protect our legal rights.
International Transfers of Personal Information
AGG may transfer the personal information we collect to countries with laws that may be deemed not to provide the same level of data protection as the laws in the country in which you reside. Please note that our primary data processing facilities are located in the United States. By providing your personal information, you consent to the transfer of personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and the processing of your personal information in the United States.
Third-Party Links
This Policy does not apply to the privacy practices of any of the third-party websites that you may be able to access through links provided on our website. We encourage you to consult the website’s applicable privacy policy before using a linked website.
Children’s Privacy
Neither this website nor our services are directed at individuals under 18 years of age. If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any personal information to us. If we discover we have collected personal information from anyone under the age of 18, we will promptly delete such information or take other appropriate steps as required by law.
Your Marketing Choices
AGG marketing communications you may receive will contain a mechanism for you to “Unsubscribe” from receiving future communications. You also may update your publications preferences using our Subscription Center.
Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction of residence, you may have certain privacy rights, including the following. Please note, these rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and, in certain cases, we may decline your request as permitted by law.
- Right to Confirm/Access/Know. You may have a right to request access to personal information that we hold about you, including details relating to the ways in which we use and share your information. Residents of California have the right to know the categories of personal information we have collected about them, the categories of sources from which the personal information is collected, the categories of personal information sold, shared, or disclosed, the business or commercial purpose for selling, sharing, or disclosing the personal information, and the categories of third parties to whom we have sold, shared or disclosed their personal information.
- Right to Delete. You may have a right to request that we delete personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Correct. You may have a right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right of Portability. You may have a right to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to request that we transfer it to a third party.
- Right to Opt-out. You may have a right to opt-out of certain uses of your personal information such as (i) targeted advertising, (ii) “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, or (iii) profiling activities that result in a legal or similarly significant effect on you. Please note, however, that we do not engage in such activities using your personal information.
- Right to Appeal. You may have a right to appeal our decision if we decline to process your request in part or in full. You can do so by replying directly to our denial. If you are not satisfied with our response to your appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.

Only you, or as permitted by law, an agent you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a request related to your personal information. In the case of access, correction, and deletion, your request must be verified before we can fulfill the request. Verifying your request will require you to provide sufficient information for us to reasonably verify that you are the person about whom we collected personal information or that the requestor is authorized to act on your behalf. California law requires us to disclose the following additional information regarding our information practices.
In the last twelve (12) months, the personal information AGG has collected falls into the following categories of personal information as defined under California law:
- Identifiers and personal information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute, such as name, signature, address, phone number, email address, online identifier, unique personal identifiers, IP address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license number, employment history, bank account number, credit card number, or debit card number. We collect this category of information directly from you, from your employer, from referral sources or other business partners, automatically from your use of the website, and from publicly available sources.
- Protected classification characteristics, such as age, race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, marital status, or veteran or military status. We collect this category of information directly from job applicants; we collect inferences regarding certain of these classifications from our analytics service providers.
- Commercial information, such as records of personal property, products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies. We collect this category of information directly from you or from referral sources.
- Internet or other similar network activity, such as browsing history, search history, information on a consumer’s interaction with a website, application, or advertisement. We collect this category of information automatically from your use of the website.
- Geolocation data, such as device location. We collect this category of information automatically from your use of the website.
- Sensory data, such as audio or video recordings. We collect this category of information automatically.
- Professional or employment-related information, such as current or past job history. We collect this category of information from job applicants or recruiters. We also collect employment-related information directly from our clients and third-party service providers, individuals who sign up for our content, and from our analytics service providers.
- Non-public education information, such as transcripts. We collect this category of information from job applicants or recruiters.
- Inferences drawn from other personal information, such as a profile reflecting a person’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes. We may create this category of information based on other information we collect about you or information that is inferred by our analytics service providers.
- Sensitive personal information, such as social security number, driver’s license number, passport number, racial or ethnic origin, citizenship or immigration status. We collect this category of information from job applicants or recruiters. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes of inferring characteristics about individuals.
AGG uses and discloses this personal information for the purposes disclosed earlier in this Policy. In the past 12 months, we have disclosed each of the above categories of personal information to our service providers, and we have disclosed the following categories of personal information to third party business partners such as event partners, sponsors, and state bar offices: Identifiers and personal information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute and Professional or employment-related information.
AGG does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
AGG may revise this Policy from time to time. When we make changes to this Policy, we will post the updated version on the website and indicate the date the Policy was last updated. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to check for any updates.
