Jeff Lewis Appointed to Georgia Film, Music, and Digital Entertainment Commission

Atlanta, February 22, 2022 – Arnall Golden Gregory (AGG) is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Y. Lewis, partner in the firm’s Atlanta office, has been appointed to the Georgia Film, Music, and Digital Entertainment Commission by Governor Brian Kemp. The Commission serves as an advisory committee to the governor on matters related to maintaining and expanding the state’s entertainment industry.

In addition to his legal practice, Jeff was a professional actor from 1985 to 1992 and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. He previously served on the board of directors for the Southeast Playwrights’ Project and the Georgia Shakespeare Festival. Jeff has performed in “A Courthouse Line” charitable productions, which raises important funding for the Atlanta Bar Foundation’s Grant Program.

At AGG, Jeff is a member of the Litigation practice and the Entertainment & Sports, Logistics & Transportation, and Global Commerce industry teams. He represents large and small companies as well as individuals in dispute resolution, including defending clients through litigation, mediation, and arbitration in the United States and abroad. Jeff has widespread experience spanning the healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, construction, technology, retail, manufacturing, and real estate industries. He handles matters related to global commerce, business defamation and tortious interference, class actions, technology sales and licensing, insurance coverage, trade secrets, and Uniform Commercial Code matters. Jeff also manages matters related to estate litigation, family business, logistics, labor and employment, restrictive covenants, non-competition agreements, false labeling, and letters of credit matters.

Jeff is active with several professional and community organizations. Professionally, he is a member of the British American Business Council, German American Chamber of Commerce, and Lawyers Club of Atlanta. He serves on the board of directors of the Wrestlers In Business Network Atlanta Chapter and is also a member of the 1994 Leadership Georgia class. In the community, Jeff is a member of the Gridiron Secret Society, University of Georgia School of Law alumni board, the Vincent J. Dooley Library Endowment Fund committee, Westminster Schools alumni board, Liberty Fund, and YMCA Adventure Guides and Princesses. He is also an elder and Sunday school teacher at First Presbyterian Church, a football coach with the Northside Youth Organization, and a panelist for the Neil “Hondo” Williamson and The Georgia Allstars radio program.

Jeff earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, with a year’s study in between at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich.
