Arnall Golden Gregory Partner John Spinrad Named Georgia Brownfield Association Board President
ATLANTA – The Georgia Brownfield Association has named John Spinrad, leader of the Environmental Practice at Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, president of the GBA board. Previously, Mr. Spinrad chaired the board’s Legislative and Regulatory Committee.
Mr. Spinrad will lead GBA’s 2018 initiatives, which include interacting with legislative and industry leaders regarding revising Georgia’s Hazardous Response Site Act regulations, educating members about timely industry topics, and measuring and analyzing the economic impact of brownfield redevelopment through a groundbreaking economic industry report.
Mr. Spinrad, who has been practicing law for 35 years, advises clients with regard to environmental due diligence issues, and structures corporate and real estate transactions to minimize or apportion environmental liabilities.
He also counsels clients regarding environmental permitting and enforcement issues, and complex environmental assessment and remediation projects. He has particular expertise in brownfield transactions and has assisted numerous clients with applications under Georgia’s Voluntary Remediation Program.
