Kevin Coy and Erin Doyle to Speak at 2023 PBSA Mid-Year Legislative & Regulatory Conference

AGG Data Privacy attorneys and Background Screening team members, Kevin Coy and Erin Doyle, will speak at the Professional Background Screening Association (“PBSA”) 2023 PBSA Mid-Year Legislative & Regulatory Conference on April 17, 2023, in Arlington, Virginia.

From 11-11:50 a.m. EDT, Kevin will present, “Around the (Privacy) World in 45 Minutes.” This session will compare and contrast the privacy regulations in multiple countries where background screening is conducted, including the UK, the EU, and others, with a specific focus on the impact to background screening companies.

From 2-2:50 p.m. EDT, Kevin and Erin will present, “World Privacy Update,” which will examine recent privacy developments in jurisdictions around the world from a background screening perspective. They will discuss the proposed new EU/U.S. Data Privacy Framework for transferring personal data to the U.S., EU GDPR enforcement actions and supervisory actions, UK reform proposals, new privacy legislation proposed in India, and developments in Brazil regarding continued implementation of the LGPD.

The full conference will be held from April 16-18, 2023, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.
