AGG Healthcare of counsel Alan C. Horowitz presented to the Ohio Medical Directors Association (“OMDA”) on February 9, 2023, on the topic of “Medical Errors and the Law.”

Alan addressed the criminalization of medical errors and reviewed both mandatory and voluntary disclosure laws. The presentation highlighted the 39 states that have “Apology Laws,” as well as studies that illustrate a decrease in liability claims where health systems have opted for full disclosure.
