Many have speculated that Music Midtown, a long-standing music festival in Atlanta, was canceled due to a 2019 ruling from the Supreme Court of Georgia that prevented Live Nation from banning guns in Piedmont Park, where the festival is held. The 2019 ruling in Georgiacarry.org v. Atlanta Botanical Gardens stated that only long-term lease holders can ban guns on public lands.
