Jeff Jacobovitz Quoted in Washington Post Article on Whether Trump Could Be Barred From Office

Jeff Jacobovitz, AGG trial attorney and chair of the firm’s Antitrust group, was quoted in an August 9, 2022, Washington Post article titled “What Could the Mar-A-Largo Search Mean for Trump Legally?”

In the article, Jeff addressed whether former President Trump could hold public office if he is convicted of taking confidential or classified documents from the White House, as the relevant law regarding public documents states that a violator “shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States.”

“There could be constitutional challenges,” said Jeff, “but the statute seems to be clear on its face.”
