Admitted to practice law in the United States and Germany, Mr. Ziegler represents German and other international companies in all aspects of their U.S. operations, from the formation of mid-market sales subsidiaries to the inception of manufacturing facilities, including site-selection advice and negotiation of government incentives. He also frequently advises on U.S. and international mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and cross-border investments.
Mr. Ziegler's legal experience includes all types of corporate matters such as sales, agency, distribution, licensing, software, employment and all other business agreements; terms and conditions; intellectual property protection; products liability advice; website compliance; visa matters and green cards; and dual German/U.S. citizenship. His clients operate in all types of industries including general manufacturing, automotive, renewable energy (solar and wind), technology, software and business services.
Mr. Ziegler is a frequent guest speaker with the American Bar Association, Section of International Law and at German Chamber of Commerce (IHK) offices on the issues of U.S. market entry, investments and mitigation of U.S. liability, including products liability. He was featured as a dual U.S. and German attorney on “Pro7,” a German TV channel, a widely published German-language magazine in the U.S. and other German and U.S. print media. Mr. Ziegler is an active member of the German-American business community, the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southeastern U.S. and the American Bar Association, Section of International Law, Europe Committee.
