Scott A. Fisher is a partner in the Real Estate Practice. He is a former chairman of the Real Estate Practice and a former member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Fisher focuses his practice on the representation of developers, owners and investors in the structuring and closing of commercial real estate transactions and joint ventures. Real Estate transactions have included the acquisition, development, financing and leasing of raw land, mixed-use projects, office buildings, multi-family projects, hotels, neighborhood shopping centers and regional malls. Additionally, Mr. Fisher has extensive experience in the structuring of joint ventures between developers and equity sources, structuring real estate funds, and in the negotiation, preparation and review of joint venture, acquisition, loan, easement, mixed-use, syndication and leasing documentation for developers, owners, investors, purchasers and sellers.
Mr. Fisher speaks annually at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Law Conference on the Negotiation and Structuring of Real Estate Joint Ventures. He has also spoken at numerous ICSC conferences on Development Issues in Mixed-use Real Estate Projects. In May 2009, Mr. Fisher was an instructor at the ICSC University on the topic of “Marrying for Money, Joint Ventures—Legal and Economic Constitutions.” He has also presented numerous seminars on structuring joint ventures and negotiating letters of intent and purchase agreements to real estate professionals, as well as to undergraduate and graduate students as an annual guest lecturer at the Gozietta Business School at Emory University.
