Jeffrey C. Adams is a partner in the Real Estate and Affordable Housing and Community Development Practices. He also practices in the areas of general commercial real estate and real estate finance.
Mr. Adams focuses his practice on the representation of for-profit and nonprofit developers (including public housing authorities) in multi-family and single family housing development transactions, mixed-use and urban redevelopment transactions, housing transactions involving the use of public/private partnerships, general commercial real estate and real estate finance. He has represented clients in transactions financed with low-income housing tax credits, historic tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, FHA-insured loans, HUD Section 202, HOME funds, USDA RD financing, CDBG funds, Federal Home Loan Bank AHP financing, TCAP and Section 1602 Tax Credit Exchange financing enacted by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, as well as other types of subsidized and conventional financing. Mr. Adams also provides representation in matters involving the structure and formation of flow-through entities used for real estate acquisition, development, management and construction, negotiation of partnership and limited liability operating agreements, as well as planning and restructuring in connection with real estate and housing transactions.
Mr. Adams currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition. He also serves as Chairman of the Affordable Housing Committee of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Section (RPTE), and he is the RPTE Liaison to the ABA Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law. Additionally, Mr. Adams is a member of the Texas Affordable Housing Providers and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant by the State of Texas.
