Mr. Chalmers co-chairs the firm's Litigation group and focuses his practice on a wide variety of complex business disputes, including contract disputes, business torts, fraud and misrepresentation claims, RICO claims, FCRA claims, fiduciary duty disputes, data breach prevention and response, and electronic discovery matters. Mr. Chalmers has successfully represented clients in trial, arbitration and mediation across the country. Mr. Chalmers formerly chaired the firm's Business Litigation group and is also an Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.
Mr. Chalmers clerked for a federal judge in the Northern District of Georgia following law school and worked in Belize, Central America, for a year as a Fellow with the Human Rights Commission of Belize. Mr. Chalmers also is a member of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Section of Litigation leadership and was an Associate Editor and author for the ABA’s Litigation News for thirteen years. In addition to his work with the firm, Mr. Chalmers provides pro bono legal services to indigent clients through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation.
Away from work, Mr. Chalmers enjoys whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, and camping.
