Ashley Steiner Kelly is a partner in the Employment and Litigation practices. She is also the firm’s Deputy General Counsel. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kelly served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Jacques L. Wiener, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Ms. Kelly focuses her practice on counseling and training employers and representing them in the full range of employment litigation, including claims involving discrimination and harassment, the Family Medical Leave Act, wage and hour issues, employment contracts, and benefits disputes. In addition, she frequently advises clients on matters relating to unfair competition and restrictive covenants, such as noncompetition, nonsolicitation, nondisclosure, and trade secrets agreements.
Ms. Kelly also represents clients in complex business litigation. She has extensive experience before administrative agencies and state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, as well as in arbitration, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Ms. Kelly has made numerous presentations to employer clients and industry groups on employment law and human resources topics. She has been recognized for her work in the area of employment law by publications such as Georgia Super Lawyers and Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, which noted that Ms. Kelly “can analyze complex matters quickly, offering clear advice and support in navigating the maze of legal concerns."
