Subsidized Financing

Government help in the form of subsidized financing is especially important in today’s economy when private funding is harder to come by. Projects that otherwise might not be viable become real, explains Real Estate Practice Co-Chair Jonathan Eady in the video below. Subsidized finance can take several forms: tax credits, grants, loan guarantees and even the EB5 Visa program, which provides green cards for foreigners who invest in the U.S. Government assistance can jump-start projects that benefit the public, such as healthcare facilities, affordable housing, cultural centers and historically significant revitalizations. Jobs are created and struggling communities are invigorated by subsidized development.
