False Claims Act Risks for Bundled Services: Exposure Risks and Damages

AGG Partner Jason E. Bring authored an article titled “False Claims Act Risks for Bundled Services: Exposure Risks and Damages,” which appeared in the June 8, 2012, edition of Health Lawyers Weekly, a publication of the American Health Lawyers Association. In the article, Mr. Bring explains the “worthless service” theory of recovery, which is based on the notion that some services can be so deficient in quality that they amount to no service at all. Mr. Bring says that the government’s continued focus on healthcare fraud could result in staggering damages imposed against providers.
