AGG partner Teri A. Simmons was quoted in an article titled, “Global Village Gets Complicated,” which appeared in the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The article describes the recent increase in international business, and how corporations are dealing with the complex multinational business deals that fall into a gray area of legislation. Because the modern company has no borders, laws must reflect this by becoming more global, and it is up to lawyers to follow. Ms. Simmons says that it’s critical for lawyers around the world to form alliances and networks to create a source of expert advice because the advice of local legal counsel in a foreign jurisdiction is invaluable.
