AGG Partner Robert L. Rothman was nominated to serve a three-year term on the American Bar Association (ABA) Board of Governors. Mr. Rothman will act as representative of District 6, comprising Georgia, Tennessee and Louisiana. Mr. Rothman was nominated by the members of the Georgia delegation to the House of Delegates and additional attorneys who signed a nominating petition. His nomination was approved by the Nominating Committee of the House of Delegates, which is made up of all of the state delegates plus 15 other members of the House of Delegates representing different constituencies as provided under the ABA’s Constitution. The election will take place at the House of Delegates Meeting during the ABA Annual Meeting in August 2011. The ABA Board of Governors is made up of 38 members and oversees the management of the Association, developing methods and specific plans for making the ABA and its activities useful to the members in their professional work.
