Clients of Arnall Golden Gregory scored repeated wins at the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Best in Real Estate Awards” ceremony on February 28, 2013. The William Carter Company signed a lease for 224,000 square feet-plus at Phipp’s Tower in Buckhead. Carter was represented by Philip G. Skinner and Abe J. Schear on the transaction, which was completed in approximately three months. The national company will relocate its Southeast headquarters from the Proscenium Building in Midtown and its Northeast headquarters from Connecticut. The transaction was widely reported in the Atlanta Business Chronicle and was a finalist for “Office Deal of the Year” for 2012 for the publication’s “Best in Real Estate Awards.”
LakePoint Sporting Community and Town Center in Bartow County won “Mixed Use/Special Use Deal of the Year.” The client of Mr. Schear and Mr. Skinner acquired a 74-acre parcel that was essential to completing the assemblage of land required for LakePoint to execute it’s vision for the “South Campus.” The client also sold 14 acres to Bass Pro Shops for the future development of an 80,000 to 145,000 square-foot store at LakePoint. Bass Pro Shops, selected LakePoint over a number of other sites, which validates the client’s vision of the project and has resulted in numerous calls to the client from other interested retailers and hospitality companies. Andrew D. Siegel and Mr. Skinner worked on the transactions together, with Mr. Siegel leading the work on the acreage purchase and Mr. Skinner taking the lead on the Bass Pro Shops deal. The Bass Pro Shops transaction was reported in the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
