Philip Skinner Quoted in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution

On September 4, 2009, AGG Partner Phil Skinner was quoted in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an article entitled, “Streets Project on Hold Again,” in which he discusses the recent decision by developer, Ben Carter, to delay construction on the Streets of Buckhead, the upscale retail development intended for Atlanta’s most prominent shopping district. The site is now scheduled to open in January 2011, nearly 14 months after its initial opening date, and more than 3 years after the project began in August 2007.  In response to Carter’s decision to postpone construction until the economy improves, Mr. Skinner states, “There’s an old phrase in the real estate development business that time kills all deals. You’re on a continuum that the longer it takes to make things happen, the harder it is to hold everyone in place.” To read this article in its entirety, please click here.
