Phil Skinner Mentioned in ABC

An Atlanta Business Chronicle article titled “Developers Pay $17M for Dream Park Land” mentions AGG Partner Philip G. Skinner for his involvement in the development of a sports and tourism complex next to Lake Alatoona in Bartow County. The project, known as the LakePoint Sporting Community & Town Center, sprawls across roughly 1,200 acres near Interstate 75 and will cost more than $1 billion and about 10 years to develop. It could draw more than a few million people per year with plans for 16 tournament baseball fields, 14 lacrosse and soccer fields and a 118,000-square-foot indoor sports pavilion, as well as commercial development, more than 1 million square feet of offices, shops and restaurants, and about 1,500 hotel rooms. The article features an interesting slideshow of the potential development, which is being led by Neal Freeman, president of Watkins Associated Developers Inc. Wakefield Beasley is the architect.
