AGG Partner Neil C. Gordon is quoted in a September 17th Atlanta Business Chronicle article titled "Ga. Supreme Court Case Important for Lenders." Mr. Gordon is the court-appointed bankruptcy trustee in the featured case regarding the home of Bertha Hagler, who, according to court records, refinanced her home loan in 2005 and filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy two years later. Mr. Gordon filed a claim against the property, arguing a superior claim over the lender because the deed lacked signatures from two witnesses. In 2009, a federal bankruptcy judge ruled in favor of Mr. Gordon, but US Bank National Association followed with a suit in Atlanta’s US District Court.
