AGG awarded the 2010 Marva Jones Brooks Internship to Julian Hinds, a student at Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology. Mr. Hinds is a rising high school senior from Conyers, Georgia, who is interested in learning more about environmental law, media law, and entertainment and sports law. Mr. Hinds has received several academic awards, including the 2009 and 2010 Superintendent’s Award, given to the top 10 students in each class; second place at the Rockdale County Science Fair in 2009 and 2010; the Advanced History Award; the Algebra II Award; and the J.C. Kerr Jr. Award for Excellence for Industry, Integrity and Service. In his spare time, he volunteers with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta and Stone Mountain Food Bank, is a member of the Model Atlanta Regional Commission and teaches math at Kumon of Conyers. AGG offers the internship each year to a rising minority junior or senior interested in pursuing a law career, as part of the firm’s efforts to embrace diversity.
