International Arbitration Article in ABC Quotes Glenn Hendrix

On May 11, 2012, the Atlanta Business Chronicle published an article titled “Atlanta courting lucrative arbitration cases,” which quotes AGG Managing Partner Glenn P. Hendrix (subscription required to view full article). Governor Nathan Deal signed a bill on May 2, 2012, that will make Georgia a friendlier place for international businesses to resolve legal disputes. Based on a model statute developed by a United Nations commission, the new state law is another step forward in making Atlanta an international arbitration center, a goal that Mr. Hendrix has been working to achieve through his involvement with the founding of the Atlanta International Arbitration Society. Mr. Hendrix says there is a huge demand for resolving cross-border business disputes through arbitration in a neutral venue. He says, “It’s premium legal work that can be big business.”
