AGG Managing Partner and Chair of the International Law Section of the American Bar Association, Glenn P. Hendrix was quoted in an article titled, “When Lawyers Disappeared,” published in the ABA Journal on March 24th. The German Federal Bar created an exhibit called “Lawyers Without Rights: Jewish Lawyers in Germany Under the Third Reich,” which depicts the collective fate of Jewish lawyers in Nazi Germany by focusing on the stories of 15 individual lawyers. Mr. Hendrix comments on the substantial number of Jewish lawyers in the legal profession of Nazi Germany and how their fate has implications even for today’s society regarding what happens when the law is trampled by the state. “Lawyers Without Rights” will be presented April 13-17 at the Annual Spring Meeting of the International Law Section of the ABA in New York City and August 5-10 at the ABA Annual Meeting in San Francisco.
